Our companies joined the bartering industry in roughly 2004-2005. Web Your Name® joined barter in about 2006. We joined what was initially called BXI. Why all of the barter agencies chose acronyms is odd, but moving on... BXI was bought out by ITEX in around 2007. Both services are high in demend especially during this recession. In this recession which is worse than The Great Depression, more and more businesses are joing one of the two barter networks.

You may spend your barter money with our company on just about everything home improvement related and Internet related like website design, hosting, and search engine optimization. There are a few things that cannot be accomplished on barter, but most everything can such as fences, decks, walkways, patios, landscaping, and painting. How does barter work? ITEX's slogan is don't pay for it, trade for it. Well, ITEX and BBE both manage their companies differently. ITEX is located in Raleigh and BBE is located in Cary, NC. The concept is pretty much the same for both. When you join, you are given a barter bank account with a checkbook, just like a real bank account. With this special account, you may spend money that you earn on any of the other businesses in the barter network. When you complete work for someone else in the barter network, you get paid your money in barter money. Many people are reluctant to join a barter agency because they feel like they are losing cash sales. But you have to realize that these people are coming solely to you because you are accepting their barter currency. To join, you would contact one of the two agencies and setup a meeting to sign the paperwork. ITEX charges a membership fee but because of their business style, it is well worth joining ITEX as well as BBE. There is no reason you cannot be a member of both bartering agencies. ITEX recently expanded it's market into Charlotte, NC. BBE already had a small presence in Charlotte. Charlotte is a good market for both barter networks to grow in.
